Little Moth Dreams of Becoming a Butterfly

One of several pieces that stemmed from research into silk production and the fate of the silk moth larva after its cocoon has been utilised.

My aim was to produce a small installation which would bring moving image out of the booth and into a more public space: it’s the sort of object that might brighten up a dull corner in a museum, library or small gallery. It is intentionally easy to curate: the set-up and technical operations are designed to be simple. I am particularly interested in producing work with the potential to engage children.
